I became very interested in science by watching Star Trek as a child and Dr. McCoy was a role model for me.
The TV show influenced a whole generation that went on to become scientists and doctors.
Dr. McCoy’s character would often get into heated arguments with the logical and dispassionate Mr. Spock.
McCoy often was a very irate MD.
Today we have many interesting TV shows and movies in the science fiction and fantasy genre.
