The Andromeda Strain (1971) is based on the 1969 novel by Michael Crichton.
Dr. Jeremy Stone (Arthur Hill), Dr. Charles Dutton (David Wayne), Dr. Mark Hall (James Olson) and Dr. Ruth Leavitt (Kate Reid) investigate a deadly disease caused by an alien organism. They must discover why an infant and an alcoholic man are unaffected before the disease threatens all life on Earth.
